Activities & Services at Pembroke Lodge Residential Care Home

The beneficial effect of exercise to promote mental alertness and physical health is well-documented in all circles. At Pembroke Lodge, daily "Arm Chair Exercises" take place every morning and are very popular amongst the residents and any unsuspecting visitors!

Trips, transport and celebration of special occasions

Outings to local shops or areas of interest are organised. Car transport is also available upon request but needs to be booked in advance. All birthdays are celebrated by the home, and families are welcome to use the facilities of the home for parties.

Keeping our residents active and healthy

In addition there are daily walks, board games, in-house and visiting entertainers which all help to maintain our residents' physical and mental health.

We organise clothes shows from time to time and other events of interest. There is also a visiting Library, a Hairdresser and a Chiropodist.

One can always rely on the care home's two pet Bichon Frises - a brother and sister act by the names of Benson and Peaches - to provide ad-hoc entertainment. They are very popular amongst the residents!
